I just stumbled on my blogger account after 4 years, I am no longer a teen as suggested by my username. I just went on scrolling on things I have written before and I felt kind of proud of what I have written before, so I thought why not start it again because mostly it will be me who will be reading it. As I am trying to find a topic to write about while sitting in my hostel, (yes I am pursuing MBA from IIM Kozhkode, and my 18 year old self would have been so proud and happy) I stumbled on the thought: what makes a story worth remembering? The kind of stories you remember even after years, an episode of some favourite series or cartoon you remember vividly and you just get excited to narrate it again, or a childhood memory from summer vacation or something that happened in your school or college or workplace or a trip! Embracing the light inside you is the best gift you can give to yourself this Diwali. While lighting everyone we often forget to switch-on lights for ourselves. This year wasn't a great one for most of us. Many of us lost our loved ones, many of us went through a long time of grieving, sleepless nights, heartaches, fear of never seeing some faces again, breaking relationships, confined to four walls all alone with a rectangle in your hand. But you know what, the best part about remembering these all sufferings and pain is to celebrate yourself. You, yes you overcame it all alone, when even the closest ones refused to hold your hand it was you who managed everything alone. Even in the darkest of your time you texted or called someone for knowing their well-being, when you needed the love and support most, you still chose to hand it over to others.
