The World Of Imagination And You

Imagination.. What an amazing word. Isn’t it? We all humans are blessed with the ability to imagine.

We all spend a significant amount of time while imagining the things which are not likely to take place in actual world. It is somewhat like teleportation. We are just teleported to the strange and amazing world of our dreams where things work according to us and that world really seems to be a wish granting machine. We are adorned on the thorn and we are the king/queen of that world. We are the one who make rules and decide each character and it’s significance. It is only the ability of imagination that we get to read amazing Harry Potter series or watch that all wonderful Disney and marvel pictures and hear to the great poets.

But you know what every thing have two sides so does imagination. Someone quoted that “we suffer more in our imagination than reality. “

When we are busy imagining our strawberry world and get some failure or challenge in our real life. We literally start imagining worst for us. But what if I failed that entrance exam. I won’t get any good college. I will be mocked by my friends. I will disappoint my parents. I will not get a placement. I will be broke. This was only one example where our imagination make us suffer those problems which never exist. There is thin line between imagination and overthinking and most of us today are engaged in overthinking which only make us suffer the problems that never existed.

Instead of imagining solutions to our real life problems we are more excited to imagine some more problems for us and grief over them.

Let me narrate you a famous folk tale which I guess many of you would have already heard about. So the tale goes on like this, once there was a man in some town. He was famous in whole town for his daydreaming. He opened a shop of earthenware in the market of that tiny town.

It was his first day at work. He was so happy . He sat in the shop and started day-dreaming that how he will earn a huge profit from this business and then he will expand his business. He will buy a beautiful house  in the middle of town. He will be married off with the beautiful princess of the state. He will get a lot of dowry. Then after some years he will have a son and he will be engaged in some mischief and he will slap him so hard on his face . As he was imagining this he really lifted his hand to slap his imaginary son and in no time his all earthenware and dreams went to soil.

It was a funny story right?

Apart from this story, am not trying to convey that you should stop imagining. No not at all! Imagination is one of the beautiful thing we humans are gifted with. But yeah you should be careful to not let your imagination turn into overthinking and not let it make you suffer in real life.

Thanks for reading!

Pain Demands To Be Felt

Do you remember when Hazel Grace in the book ‘The fault in our stars' said to Issac that ‘Pain demands to be felt' when he was moaning over his ex Monica who dumped him because he was gonna blind after few days. It sounds ridiculous telling a person in the pain that pain demands to be felt. But now wait a minute and just wonder what if no pain existed in this world. Neither physical nor emotional. Wouldn’t be our lives more easier? It would become more easier to get over your ex or sleep peacefully when you have a fracture in your arm. Sounds amazing. Right?  Now just imagine you are walking bare footed on a beautiful morning and you get a thorn in your feet accidentally, but as you don’t feel pain you don’t bother about it but that thorn dive deeper in your nerves and you are dead another day. We feel pain not because it is meant to be like this. We feel pain so that we can do something about that, we can dive deeper towards the reason why we are feeling that pain and how we c...

The Invisible Light Inside You

Embracing the light inside you is the best gift you can give to yourself this Diwali. While lighting everyone we often forget to switch-on lights for ourselves. This year wasn't a great one for most of us. Many of us lost our loved ones, many of us went through a long time of grieving, sleepless nights, heartaches, fear of never seeing some faces again, breaking relationships, confined to four walls all alone with a rectangle in your hand. But you know what, the best part about remembering these all sufferings and pain is to celebrate yourself. You, yes you overcame it all alone, when even the closest ones refused to hold your hand it was you who managed everything alone. Even in the darkest of your time you texted or called someone for knowing their well-being, when you needed the love and support most, you still chose to hand it over to others. So yes, you need to celebrate yourself. Moon can't see its own light and beauty, but you know it can't be described in words...
